Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.  We prepared… with gas in all vehicles; extra for the generator, water in the tub, bread and coffee at the ready…we hoped it would be too bad.  It worked for us.  While countless people were without power…we fared very well and are grateful for that…our butterfly bush got tattered, sunflowers knocked down, big tree on fence, and one mashed (but not broken) mirror on the truck.

The big storm that didn’t do much but get us doing things that needed to be done.  So thanks and …”Good Night Irene”

PS the one sunflower that didn’t bend to the storm didn’t bend to the squirrels either!
