As always our visit in Lemington was memorable.  K and I picked blueberries by the 5 gallon bucket, then she cooked up a delicious fresh berry pie.  M cooked up a big pot of beef barley soup, grilled up some steaks for a great family feast.   The rain didn’t dampen our spirits or appetites as a group of 12 gathered around the table.  My ping pong challenge was quickly defeated by the young and masterful SW.  Teaming up with the old master was unsuccessful as K and SW reigned supreme, but I’m still learning and always up for a game.

We departed for Home Sweet Home with a stop at the Hoglunds Butchers in Cornish, ME.  Their ad for $3.49 lobsters and $3.99 rib roast caught M’s eye.   We decided to celebrate our anniversary with lobsters and champagne.

Once we paid our toll at Kennebunk and headed south on 95 we were glad to be heading home.   Looking at the north bound traffic was cause for concern….solid traffic all the way to the Massachusetts border.  We had a bit of backup at the Hampton tolls but south was definitely the way to go.  Still concerned what this meant  for out trip through Boston we monitored  BZ Traffic on the 3 all the way and opted for 495 to 138.  Thankfully it was  the right move and we enjoyed our ME lobsters almost as much as the trip to get them.
